Why top fill?

With a top fill pod or tank, you open a cap or slide on top and fill it there. It's quicker, there's less chance of liquid getting into the coil or airflow, and it's easier when you're out and about. Most of these are small pod and starter kits, with a few bigger sub-ohm kits.

Which liquid to use

Most kits here are mouth-to-lung kits, made for 10ml nic salts or 50/50s. The Geekvape Aegis Legend 5, Aegis Boost 3 and Voopoo Drag 6 are sub-ohm kits, made for shortfills. Check each product page for the pods or coils it takes, or see replacement pods and replacement coils.

How to fill without leaks

  • Fill to just below the max line and close the cap fully.
  • With a new pod or coil, wait a few minutes after filling before you vape, so the cotton soaks through.
  • Don't fill past the top or over the centre air tube.

Are top fill kits less likely to leak?

Filling from the top keeps liquid away from the airflow, which helps. Closing the cap properly and not overfilling matter most.

Which top fill kit is good for a beginner?

A small MTL pod kit like the Vaporesso XROS 6, Uwell Caliburn G5 or Geekvape Sonder Q 3 is easy to start with.

Do I need to prime a new coil?

Yes. After filling a new pod or coil, give it a few minutes to soak before your first draw.
