Nic Salts E-Liquid

Nic salts vs freebase: what's the difference?

Freebase (the classic 50/50 e-liquid) gets harsher as the strength goes up. Nic salts are made so that a 10mg or 20mg liquid still feels smooth. That makes them better for people who need more nicotine, while freebase suits lower strengths and bigger clouds.

Choosing a strength

• 20mg nic salts: the strongest allowed in Ireland and the same as most disposables. Best for heavier smokers.
• 10mg nic salts: a lighter hit for moderate use or for stepping down.
• 5mg nic salts: the lowest, on selected Elux and Elfliq flavours, for cutting right down.

Brands we stock

Questions we get asked

What is a nic salt?

A nicotine salt is a form of nicotine that feels smoother to inhale than freebase, especially at 10mg and 20mg. That's why it's used in disposables and pod kits.

Can I use nic salts in any vape?

Use them in low-power pod kits and MTL devices. Don't use them in high-wattage sub-ohm kits, where the hit would be far too strong.

What's the strongest nic salt you can buy in Ireland?

20mg. That's the legal limit for nicotine e-liquid in Ireland and across the EU.

Which nic salt tastes like my disposable?

Elux Legend, Elfliq and Maryliq come from the same companies as the Elux, Elf Bar and Lost Mary disposables, often in the same flavours.

How long does a 10ml bottle last?

It depends on how much you vape. As a rough guide, a 10ml bottle is about the same as five 2ml disposables' worth of liquid.
