What makes a kit DTL?
With a DTL kit you breathe the vapour straight into your lungs, like taking a deep breath, rather than holding it in your mouth first. That needs a loose airflow and a low-resistance coil, which is why DTL kits run at higher power than MTL kits. Lower-ohm coils generally suit DTL, and higher-ohm coils suit MTL.
If you're new to vaping or want a tighter, cigarette-style draw, an MTL kit is the better fit.
Pod mod or box mod?
Most kits here are pod mods: a compact device with a refillable pod, which keeps things simple. The Aegis Legend 5 is a bigger 200W box mod kit for people who want more control over power. See vape mods and sub-ohm tanks if you'd rather build your own setup.
What liquid to use
DTL kits are made for shortfills. Shortfills are 0mg with room to add nicotine shots. Don't use high-strength nic salts in a DTL kit; the bigger vapour makes them far too harsh.
