Pen starter kits are slim, all-in-one vape pens with the battery and tank in one body. We have four right now, from Aspire and Innokin, each with a 1500mAh built-in battery, a 2ml tank and simple button controls. They suit beginners and ex-smokers who want an easy mouth-to-lung (MTL) draw.

The pen kits we stock

  • Aspire PockeX: one button, no settings to learn, a 2ml top-fill tank and replaceable PockeX coils. Its coils, glass, top cap and drip tips are all sold separately in our PockeX range.
  • Innokin Endura T20S: fixed 18W output with the 2ml Prism T20S tank and Prism S / T20S coils. Made for balanced 50/50 e-liquids.
  • Innokin GO S: fixed 13W output and a 2ml GO S tank with the coil built in. When the coil wears out, you replace the tank as one unit.
  • Innokin GO Z: fixed 13W output with the 2ml top-fill GO Z tank, using Innokin Zenith / Z coils. It comes with a 1.6Ω coil for a smooth, tight draw.

What liquid to use

These are MTL pens, so they suit 50/50 e-liquids and nic salts. They aren't made for thick, high-VG shortfills. If you're switching from cigarettes or disposables, a higher strength usually gets you closer to what you're used to.

Questions we get asked

Which pen kit is easiest?

The Innokin GO S. The coil is built into the tank, so there's nothing to change except the tank itself when it wears out.

Can I change the power on these?

The Endura T20S and the GO pens have fixed output, so there's nothing to set. You just fill, charge and vape.

What's the difference between a pen kit and a pod kit?

A pen kit has a tank with a replaceable coil (or a replaceable tank), while a pod kit uses a small clip-in pod. Both suit MTL vaping. See refillable pod kits to compare.
