Innokin ZF Replacement Coil

The Innokin ZF Replacement Coil is the genuine 0.3Ω dual mesh coil head for the Innokin Z-Force tank and the kits built around it, such as the Innokin Kroma 217. It is a sub-ohm, direct-to-lung (DTL) coil rated 30–45W, made for high-VG shortfill e-liquids and dense, warm vapour.

Innokin's ZF design puts a mesh strip at the core of the coil, wraps it in cotton and then adds a second layer of mesh on the outside. Heating the cotton from both sides pulls liquid through faster than a standard coil, so the ZF ramps up quickly and keeps flavour steady on long draws with the airflow wide open.

Compatibility

Tank: the Innokin Z-Force. This is the only Innokin tank that takes the ZF coil. If you are unsure which tank you have, the Z-Force is Innokin's wide-airflow sub-ohm tank supplied with the Kroma 217 kit.

Kits: Innokin Kroma 217 (the Kroma 217 mod with the Z-Force tank). Any 510 mod that can run 30–45W will drive the Z-Force tank with this coil.

Not compatible: Innokin Zenith, Zenith 2, Zlide, Zlide Top, Go Z and Go Z+ tanks. These use the Z coil range. For those tanks, choose the Innokin Zenith Z Replacement Coil; it is also the coil for the Innokin Adept Zlide Kit.

Which E-Liquid?

A 0.3Ω mesh coil at 30–45W gets through liquid quickly and runs warm, so it needs a thicker, high-VG juice. Use a 70VG shortfill, with or without a nic shot. Thin 50/50 liquids and 10ml nic salts are made for low-power MTL coils and are not suited to a sub-ohm DTL head like this.

How to Change the Coil

1. Remove the tank from the mod and empty any e-liquid.
2. Unscrew the base of the Z-Force tank and remove the old coil.
3. Fit the new ZF coil into the base until it seats, then screw the base back on.
4. Drip a few drops of e-liquid onto the exposed cotton, refill the tank and let it stand for 5 to 10 minutes.
5. Start at 30W and work up toward 45W until you find the warmth you like.
