Vaporesso Coils

GTX or GTi – which do I need?

They look similar, but they're separate coil families and don't swap between each other.

GTX coils are used in the Vaporesso GTX One Pro 40W Kit, Luxe XR empty pods and many other GTX-platform devices. There's a wide spread of resistances, covering MTL, restricted-lung and lower-power DTL vaping.

GTi coils are push-fit mesh heads for the Vaporesso iTank 2 and other iTank systems. They range from high-power DTL down to lower-power restricted-lung use.

The quickest way to tell is to look at your old coil – the family name and resistance are printed on it.

Choosing a resistance

Higher resistance gives a tighter, cooler draw that suits nic salts and 50/50. Lower resistance gives a looser, warmer vape with more vapour and suits higher-VG shortfills. Stay within the wattage printed on the coil.

Many Vaporesso pod kits, like the XROS range, use pods with the coil built in rather than separate coils. For those, see Vaporesso pods or Vaporesso coils and pods.

Questions we get asked

Will a GTX coil fit an iTank?

No. The iTank 2 takes GTi coils. GTX coils are for GTX-platform kits and pods like the GTX One Pro and Luxe XR.

How often should I change my coil?

When the flavour fades or tastes burnt. Prime each new coil by letting it soak in liquid for a few minutes first.

Do XROS kits use these coils?

No. XROS kits use pods with the coil built in – see Vaporesso pods.
