External Battery Vape Kits Ireland
External battery vape kits run on removable 18650 or 21700 batteries instead of a built-in cell, so you can swap in a charged battery and keep going. This page has the kits and mods we stock from Geekvape, Voopoo, Lost Vape and Vandy Vape, for vapers who want more power and control than a basic pod kit.

Why go for an external battery?
With a built-in battery, the device is done when the battery wears out. With an external battery, you just replace the cell. You can also carry a charged spare for long days. The trade-off is that you need to buy batteries separately and look after them properly.
Which battery each one takes
- One 18650: Aegis Solo 3 (S100), Drag X2, Centaurus M100.
- Two 18650s: Aegis Legend 5 mod and kit.
- One 21700 or 18650: Drag X3 French Riviera.
- One 21700, or an 18650 with the supplied adaptor: Vandy Vape Requiem.
Batteries are not included with these devices. Use high-drain cells from our 18650 batteries or 21700 batteries pages.
Kit or mod only?
A kit comes with something to vape from. The Drag X2 and Drag X3 use Voopoo PnP X pods and coils, and the Aegis Legend 5 kit comes with a Geekvape Z sub-ohm tank. A mod only is just the battery box, so you'll need a 510 tank to go with it. See sub-ohm tanks for big clouds or MTL tanks for a tighter draw.
Looking after your batteries
Charge them in a proper external charger where you can. Never carry loose batteries in a pocket or bag where they can touch keys or coins; use a battery case. Check the plastic wrap regularly and replace any battery with a torn or damaged wrap.

Questions we get asked
Are these good for beginners?
They suit people who already vape and want more power. If you're new, a beginner vape kit with a built-in battery is simpler.
What liquid should I use?
At sub-ohm power, use high-VG shortfills with a nicotine shot if you want nicotine.
Can I charge the battery in the device?
Check the product page for each device. Even where in-device charging is possible, an external charger is the better habit.
